Default Suggestion for spam - 10-28-2009, 05:58 PM

When these dirty dirty spammers attack, they certainly do attack fast. I suggest that their posts be removed and replaced with the following picture:

I'm hosting the pic on my iDisc so the Mods would only need to replace the entire content of a spam posting with a link to the image, found at
http://homepage.mac.com/rseijas/.pictures/spam.jpg
You could leave the poster's name so he's identified as the dirty dirty spammer that he is, but he wouldn't get the benefit of folks even reading his tripe.

Haha... I like that picture. Not a bad idea except most spammers would never see it. Most spam now is posted by bots, not actual users. There are automated programs that can create accounts on multiple forums, get the email confirmation and click the activation link, and make posts all really fast. In the case of a bot, the person running the automated bot program never actually sees the posts. They can post on hundreds of forums within a few minutes. There used to be a video online of one such program in action but it's been taken own.

I think it's better to delete the posts so the forum isn't cluttered with crap.

Although that picture is hilarious, I agree with Daphne here.

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
When you take things for granted, the things you are granted, get taken.
Even a mosquito doesn't get a pat on the back until it starts to work.
