I'm sure that consideration has been given to setting up a donation system for the upkeep/maintenance of this site but I want to, as a regular member and not as a moderator/owner/admin/etc, propose that something like this be set up.

Many forums I have been a member of in the past have encouraged a small donation of anywhere between $5-$20 and in exchange were given a particular member level (ie: premium member etc) to recognize their donation.

There are numerous regulars, myself included, who have benefitted GREATLY by this site and visit it almost daily. I'm sure that there are dozens of people who would be more than happy to make such a donation to support the community and help alleviate the financial burden (as small as it might be) from the admins.

I would be the first to paypal my $20 should a system be put in place. For the time being, all the mods, admins (and everyone who contributes for that matter)-- thanks for everything.

Just my two cents.

p.s.> I say this not knowing how much the banner ads rake in. It could very well be that the site is profitting. haha

Interesting point. I get a lot out of this site...I also put a fair bit back in and I think everyone benefits from the exchange of information. I also imagine the banners pay their way well enough:

Without the banners there would be no cash but without the forum junkies there would be no site to interest the sponsors in the first place!!!!!!

judging form your rates and your number of sponsors, it seems to me as though you are making a profit. That's wicked. I guess this topic is closed.
