I've always thought this site must cost a few $$$ to keep it running what with server costs, bandwidth and the growing number of users..I know there are some ads and sponsored links etc, but then I saw this post on another thread on this forum

Currently the Sponsors/Advertisers along with Google have been fairly good to us and keep this site running, so there is no need to ask RIM for funding, expecially since the ods of them agreeing are slim to none.

A few years ago, RIM reps didn't really tend to like us. Actually my last tech rep said he had never even been to our website (whaa?!). Quite a few of the support reps in Waterloo and Nova Scotia say they've never been here, as well. But times have changed and I've actually been recommended this website by a few people at RIM... much to their surprise, I let them know that I frequent these forums and it's quite funny to hear them when I say who I am on here - some have believed me and we had a great conversation, while others have definitely shown a bit of doubt as to my online identity. Oh well...
