Question Clarification

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there, my username is esame. I was just wondering if it is against the rules to share promotion code with the users in this forum. I did a service for Expert Shield screen protector by writing a review for them and thus, they have given me a promotion code which is entitled to special discounts whenever I buy their products online by entering this code. According to them, I can share this code with my close friends and relatives, hope that someone might help me clarify this question.

I've seen others share a promo code with the forum before. I don't think that's illegal, but of course there will be someone more informed than me to come along and correct me if I'm wrong.

I would get expressed, written permission from the vendor. Close friends and family will likely not cover the 100k+ users of this Forum.

Pizzle, I have asked the vendor about whether I can share it on a public domain in a forum. They said that they will not mind me sharing it because they can always cut the code if they feel it is being used in an abusive rate, furthermore, it has a valid until date.

Does this mean I can start a new thread with this discount code?

How about just putting the promo code in your signature and become a regular contributing member of the forum. The more you contribute, the more they will see your promo code. Just posting it outright might be considered spamming.

It's a great idea, am I really allowed to do that? I don't want to get kicked out of the forum for spamming or advertising.
