Default New Server - 06-23-2007, 10:39 PM

New Server Install still in Progress, the site should not see anymore downtime.

This is Phase 1. Phase 2 will be a seperate database server, and hopefully there will be no downtime in implementation.

^ The idea wasn't speed, but simply reliability under a large strain created by huge amounts of simultaneous users. Therefore these servers have more memory, multiple CPU's, and several cores attached to each cpu.

Likewise, the wap site is still down at this time. Getting 404. Attempted from two different BlackBerrys on different carriers through this afternoon.

I'm not sure what your using on the web server "server", but you might want to look at LiteSpeed (LiteSpeed Technologies : Products - Web Server - Overview) I've heard nothing but good things about it (although it is a bit pricey).

I was unable to log on to the new server (kept getting the maintenence page.) A big THANKS to Jibi who helped me get up and running since apparently my ISP is slow to update their DNS. Thanks, Jibster!

Lunk, I have been getting that error (parse error) for about two weeks--sorry I have not reported it, I have been too busy with work.
