Default Connecting to Facebook, BBM and MSN problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there, dont know if this is the right place to ask for help but im sure you can help...
Basically i have a Blackberry Curve 8520, on T-Mobile pay as you go, that just arrived today. so far ive managed to set up my wifi connection everything. So the browser works on wifi and on GPRS and so on...
The problems ive been facing with is:
Ive set up BBM, so made my name and added a couple of friends, but none of them have said that they have received any requests to add...
I have downloaded the facebook app from the browser and i try to log in and it comes up with (on wifi) 'could not connect because a data service is not available'. Exactly the same happens on MSN...
How the f**k do you set up email!
These are probally really basic problems but im really really new to the whole blackberry scene so please help!
Thanks Xav

You need to get a BlackBerry data plan from your carrier for those apps to work. They will not work over wifi unless you have the required service books, which you will only get with the BlackBerry data plan.

Does that mean, we cannot even download any application from the site??

I tried to download "facebook", the phone was connected, I could browse through the desktop manager, but on the website when I was about to download, it showed "The device couldn't be found through USB port". Why would that happen? Help please.

TQ!

I think that's a local issue with your cable or USB port. Make sure you're not using a USB hub, plug the BlackBerry directly into the USB port.
