Facebook is having issues. Try snaptu.
As far as Google Maps, I had issues with most recent version with my 9630 and 9650. Does BB Maps work properly for you?

Same problem. Searched for 2 days but fixed it. Go to options, applications and uninstall (delete) facebook don't restart. Next go to options, advanced options, service book and delete anything that says facebook. Delete Ippp for 5 click nothing else! Exit options then pull your battery, leave battery out for 15 sec or so then install battery. Once its restarted go to and install facebook and log in. Worked for me.Hope this helps.
