Facebook Messenger not available on App World

I read on Crackberry.com that Facebook Messenger 1.5 is available for Bl;ackberry as well. I followed the link and all it did was to download..... v. 1.0....
Not only that, it cannot be found on the App World. Is this a deliberate move by RIM, as it could be seen as a potential threat to BBM ?

That fact that it is not currently in BlackBerry App World doesn't really mean anything.

Why does it need to be in App World when the developer is providing a direct link?

I agree. Too bad though that the the version provided is 1.0.89 and not 1.5.
