Do I need to know any details about being to access all four email accounts? Would I be able to reply to the emails with their respective address? Or will I have to use one alias to answer all four?

Thank you so much for these answers.

I have my BB synced to both my desktop and laptop. I'm using EMM. I just got it a week ago. Dave at tech support was great! The cool thing about EMM is that from what Dave told me you can tether to your laptop with no additional charges, there are none of those cingular "crazy" data charges that some customers get and that the EMM browser is faster due to compression then the standard browsers.
As for the email: from EMM you get one email address or you can bring over one from a domain name that you own. That is the fast "instant on" one. Your others you will get from the BIS with the usual 15 minute polling delays. BB allows you ten and with your EMM one, you've got 11. You can also forward email to your EMM address and that would be instant. As for the return address: until cingular upgraded to the new BIS, only T-Mo has so far, you pick a default sent from address, it should be the enterprise one at EMM, and that's what people see. Actually, most will see the name you set. When the upgrade goes through, probably 2Q, then you can select the sent from address. With either bbReply or Pocket Day (a great program) you can chose the 'reply to' address, but still not the 'sent from' one.
You will also get a cingular bb address that is instant as well (this makes 12). I don't give that out as I would not want to get spam on it, but I do use it for news services.
I hope this helps.

Yes, this helps tremendously

Okay, I will have to make a decision on which domain I want to reply from them. Hmmm. That gets a bit complicated being that each email address I am using is from a different company. Ha. I will have to figure out how to get that all to work out.

Default Outlook at home and work

Allwireless,

How do I set up Outlook to sync at home and at work? Will it generate a new key if I set up the Desktop Manager the same in both places?

Thumbs up ExchangeMyMail Adds Support for Entourage!

As a big-time Mac evangelist, I felt fortunate to be asked by David to be a tester as EMM worked this week to setup their Entourage support. Suffice to say that EMM will be officially rolling out their Entourage support today or tomorrow and I wanted to give them my highest recommendation!

Even as a "tester," David and the staff had me up and running in minutes with simple, easy-to-follow setup instructions. I'm now able to see the same information on my Windows box at work (XP/Outlook 2003), my Powerbook at home (Tiger/Entourage 2004), and my 7130e which is my constant companion...

In short, Mac faithful now have another option for a hosted BES provider. A big thanks to David and the rest of the EMM staff for making the decision to extend their offering to the Mac community.

Feel free to e-mail or PM me if I can provide any other information regarding my positive experience with EMM.

Default Mac Support

I am excited about the Mac support myself. I just opened an account with exchangemymail.com today. It was excellent and fast service. Entourage capability, and maybe even the ability to work with GroupCal so I can use Mail and iCal would just be gravy on top.

I plan on researching the service to suggest to our clients. I work at a consulting and outsourcing company.

I highly recommend them!!!!

Just a little update. As has been posted here numerous times. Outstanding service.

With following their knowledgebase and getting the information from David (a speedy response at that), it works perfectly.

If you have a Mac and a Blackberry, but no corporate backend, this is the best solution out there.

Will the hosted BES support RSA SecureID hardware or software tokens? Has anyone had luck with the new RSA software token developed for RIM and soon to be released for Treos? Any help surrounding the use of RSA SecureID tokens with Blackberries would be extremely helpful.

Thanks in advance...

After contemplating whether or not to get a hosted exchange server for a while, I finally decided to get ExchangeMyMail last week. Although I had a few issues with activating the BES (due to the 8700c), Dave at ExchangeMyMail responded almost instantaneously to my questions. I got the BES started that very same night. I would HIGHLY recommend ExchangeMyMail if you are contemplating a hosted BES.

Additionally, Ramble, Google Local (invaluable on trips and around town), and the internet work--NO MORE CINGULAR HASSLES!. Not to mention that they all work at much faster speeds than through the BlackBerry Browser on Cingular.

Default Having trouble with exchangemymail

Having trouble activating. I have been talking with Dave but I'm sure it's after hours now. I started the Enterprise activation on the BB and it stopped at 90% my Address Book and a few other items still say "initializing" and not "completed" The first time it happend I went back to try again and now my Enterprise Activation icon is gone. So I go into Advanced option and do it again from there. Same thing. 90% and BB freezes. Anyone run into this? I am on Cingular Orange and have full bars with Edge.

I think I remember Dave saying problems with the Enterprise Activation and the 8700c were VERY common.

If I remember correctly the solution was to reload the OS and attempt the activation again.

Thanks lgreenberg. Yep that's basically what Dave said. Wipe it clean. I did and everything worked fine after that. It's a good thing I had Minisafe to store my application registration keys though.

Quick question. Since my Outlook is now connecting to EMM's exchange server have setup my pop3 account to send/receive with Outlook. I don't guess my pop3 is going to synch with the server. Unfortunatley, I can't forward my pop3 from the server end. I guess I am still stuck using the Outlook redirector(Sperry Software) until I can get everyone to begin using my new email address.

I'm not sure I can answer that one.

If you can't forward your POP3 account to the EMM account then I don't see how it'll sync with their servers. Your POP3 account doesn't allow any sort of mail forwarding?

Maybe you can set up a forwarding rule in Outlook. So that when a new POP3 message comes in it's forwarded to your EMM address?

You might want to also change the reply address for your POP3 account to your new EMM address as well.

That's what I am going to have to do. Before BES I had Outlook redirect with Sperry Software's redirector to my Cingular BB address. Now I will just redirect it to my EMM address.

How have you found the spam and virus protection features with EMM? Good?

I'm not currently using their SPAM or Virus protection.

I have a pre-paid subscription to McAfee Virus Scan and Spam Killer so I've been sticking to that. When it runs out I'll give their service a try.

Is it just me?

My Outlook won't connect to EMM this morning @ 6:15 AM EST.

I can't seem to access the Outlook web client from EMM either.

Can't send/receive on the Blackberry either.

Looks like everything is down right now for me. :(

I just realized that I haven't gotten any new mail in about 4 hours or so.

I'll try calling EMM and see if they have an emergency support number.

Let us know what you find out.

Their "support log-in" page is down too.

I just left a message on their after-hours support voicemail box.

Hopefully things will get fixed up soon.
