This is a Public Agency Sale - The winning buyer agrees to purchase and remove the item listed. Items are in Costa Mesa, CA. Local pickup only. It is recommended that you bring additional manpower to help remove items. For All Items
Sales Tax
School District sales will invoice the appropriate sales tax if required. All items picked up are subject to sales tax if the Buyer has no valid resale certificate or tax-exempt certification on file. Provision of a valid resale certificate or tax-exempt certification with payment will exempt buyers from sales tax. Sales tax may be waived if the item is shipped directly to an out of state destination by common carrier. Sales tax is based on the current sales tax rate in the city and state from where the item is purchased. Sales tax is not collected on vehicles as that tax will be collected by your state’s DMV when you register the vehicle.
Non-Paying buyers
If full payment is not RECEIVED within three (3) calendar days of sale close for general merchandise and seven (7) calendar days for vehicles, School District sales reserves the right to cancel the transaction and sell the item to another interested party. A $100 Cancellation Fee will be assessed upon cancellation and a Non-Paying buyer alert will be filed with . If this Cancellation Fee is not paid the buyer will be blocked from any future offerding.
If shipping and handling are offered by School District sales, the terms of proposed shipping and handling will be outlined in the Item Description and/or in the \"Shipping, payment details and return policy\" section of the listing. A small handling fee will be included for packaging materials etc. over and above the calculated shipping costs. School District sales may ship via FedEx, UPS, or United States Postal Service. Please note that School District sales reserves the right to substitute an equivalent service from another carrier to better meet the needs of a particular situation.
