Most refrigerant recovery tanks have a 80% \"tank-full\" tank float.
This turns off the recovery unit when the recovery tank is 80% full.
The D.O.T. requires that recoverys tanks contain no more than 80% on their capacity.
So 30# tanks can contain no more than 24 lbs. and 50% tanks can contain no more than 40 lbs.
This is the float that \"screws-into\" the top of the tank.
As long as the tank has a 3/4\" female pipe thread fitting on the top, this float will screw into it.
The connection on the float is the 3-pin style.
