A high quality, vintage CORNELL-DUBILIER HT power capacitor: 0.25 microFarad @ 2,500 v DC part number 305-1304 S. Tested and working, (also run recently at 2,350v DC for hours without any issues)
This sale is for one off tested, top quality HT power capacitor of a type used in many 1940\'s and early valve 1960\'s RF amplifiers and audio RF modulators
It is a USA made, low inductance, military standard product and is made under C-D\'s US patents.The measured parameters are:
Capacitance ~ 266 nF
Leakage resistance ~ >2,000 MegaOhms measured at 1000v DCThis is a FAIRLY compact capacitor and has an earthing wire attached to the case and measures 34 dia. x 108 h (mm) overall and weighs 155 grams.WARNING!: this capacitor will hold a high charge for a long time and being a low inductance design could briefly generate high voltage powers above 10 Kw on discharge into a load, so users must be responsible persons and be fully aware of the potential dangers presented by high voltage capacitors - in particular that the charge will be retained for a long time due to the very low leakage design. (Please remember, one cannot SEE high voltage!)
