-brand new Storm 9530
-it is a Verizon Wireless phone
-it is missing the service books
-I am in AUSTRALIA
-the phone is unlocked
-I have a data plan with 3 mobile *correction: I have a BLACKBERRY data plan*
I cannot access my browser because I get a message saying I don't have the "Browser configuration service book entries"
Since I am in australia I cannot go to the verizon blackberry BIS site and Resend the books.
Doing the advanced options > host > register now thing does nothing and does not work.
HOW do I get the required service books????

11-08-2009 03:54 AM You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan, and you must be able to get to the 3 BIS site to create an account and send the service books.
No BlackBerry Data Plan (which is different than a regular data plan) - no Service Books.
11-08-2009 04:00 AM Service Books are controlled by the carrier so you will not find a way around this either.

After finally wading through the useless 3 mobile people they finally connected me to a Blackberry techie and it was fixed in less than an hour! They had to activate the "service code" whatever that means.
