We are another day closer. I think I've finally finalized the sessions I am going to attend during the week. So many things to see, not enough time.

Hopefully RIM will send info on those training courses soon.

Downloaded and installed. Way cool! I even like the BoxTone link for their activities. Monday, 6pm I'm pretty sure I know where I'm gonna be.

Ack. I can't get Viigo to work for me. It keeps giving me an error stating that I'm out of coverage or the server is down.

I could never get the page to work on my BB. I hit the site from my PC's browser and entered my email address for the site to send me a link and that one worked. I double checked my original link with the one that was emailed and they looked the same. Strange.

Thanks. I just downloaded it.
Cool how the Viigo folks can update it for all WES info. Similar to the app that we downloaded for WES 2006, but way better.

So I have a question for the vets of the conference.

Are you able to take your wife to the vendor parties if she happened to come along?

If its the same as other years then you should easily be able to get passes for her - I've certainly smuggled people in various places in my day...

Hell if you need passes for something specific search me out and I'll hook you up.

Ahh... Thanks for the offer!

After further examination, she isn't able to get off next week. Maybe next year. (She called her boss at home and was told no. )

There was one really hot girl from South America last year. Not sure what she did, but holy bejeebus...

I finally got some info about the Training courses on Monday. It's going to be in the Hall of Cities in the main convention center, 9-5, with an 8am breakfast. They don't have a specific room yet, they said they will e-mail when they have room information.

At least I have a direction to go in now :P

The Hall of Cities is pretty easy to find. It's at the bottom & behind the escalator from the main lobby when you head down to the convention floor.

I might take you up on that. I couldn't register for any of the vendor parties because I live in this weird foreign country where we like maple syrup and say "eh"

Where in WPB? I live there now. Oh, and since this will be my first WES, can anyone tell me what quality of scotch/bourbon I might expect at the after parties?

If I remember correctly, the Verizon party last year was serving Johnny Walker, Grey Goose and Bombay Sapphire.... and that level of booze.

That's pretty good for free. Then again, I consumed a good bit of it, so i may be wrong.

Totally off topic but I'm packing up this weekend so I'm basically planning slacks / dress shirts during the day and maybe jeans / dress shirt type stuff for the night activities. So I wanted to know if there is a need for shorts / T-shirts or not? I get the feeling it's a little more upscale then laid back?

Good question. I was planning on wearing nice collared shirts, but with jeans. Too casual?

Oh, and I wouldn't refuse a JW Black. I can't imagine them handing out free single malts...

no particular dress code. norm has been the typical polo (collared shirt) and slacks/jeans/skirts/shorts.. laid back atmosphere. but you'll see the suits walking around too. keep in mind you'll be in orlando. florida gets pretty hot and humid during these months. it's about 90ish outside right now for me.

Currently in Orlando (at least at my office) it is 88, but with the heat index it feels like it is 91. Just to give y'all a heads up when packing.

Yea, I plan to be wearing shorts in the evenings likely(unless I'm at a sponsor party or something), sticking with dress pants in during the day. I'm coming from Edmonton, where we've had a cool spring, with only one day so far this year above 73F. I'm probably going to melt when I get to Orlando, I dont' want to be stuck in pants all week.

Looks like most of the week is going to be in the upper 80's, with the lows in the upper 60's. Not bad nighttime weather.
