Default BIS Plan + 8320 = HotSpot (Revisited) - 10-15-2007, 10:35 PM

As most of you remember I made this post...

http://www.blackberryforums.com/wifi...ot-access.html

I also asked this question at 2 other forums too.

I finally got my answer or at least I think I did when two users told me that they went to T-mobile's HotSpots and they told me they was able to get voice but not data without paying extra for HotSpots @ Home or get T-mobile's HotSpots.

Later on, I decided to go ahead and buy myself a used T-mobile's Wing on Ebay. I am now waiting for it. He wants it to clear on PayPal before he mail it to me.

Now another user is now telling me that he was able to get voice and data.

I am now thinking that maybe T-mobile may have made a change on their HotSpots service that people can now get data at T-mobile's HotSpots on the 8320 Curve without paying extra for it.

So once again, can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

Yes, hotspots will work on the Curve for voice and data. However, you still have to pay if you want access for your PC.

hmmm... I guess I could call this confirmed than... also you are a long time user and moderator here...

I guess when they first released the Blackberry 8320 Curve, T-mobile probably didn't set up their Hotspots to use the 8320 Curve yet.

Well, I guess now, I could either keep the used T-mobile Wing which I just bought few days ago on Ebay or put it back up on Ebay and sell it.

To tell you the truth, I rather not have the Wing. If anything, if I ever did go to Windows Mobile, I rather have the Kaiser since I heard good reviews about it.

Or I will wait until Microsoft introduce a new Mobile OS which I heard they are working on that will work completely different from what they have now. I heard it will be a much better Mobile OS to compete against the iPhone.

Thanks for the confirmation! I guess I will stay with Blackberry afterall.
