Default WiFi Programs

Does anyone if there are current development for programs which uses only WiFi and if there is a community for it, I am interested in helping out and lending my programing skills Secondly are there even wifi-specific programs out lol. -H

Default Wi-Fi Availability in J2ME MIDlet using BlackBerry APIs

I would like to detect Wi Fi spots availability (both secure and unsecure) in J2ME MIDlet.

The purpose of a user-initiated J2ME (MIDP2.0) application on BB 8820 is automaticaly connection to wi-fi spots. Secured spots are also offered to user if there are no unsecure spots found(connecting using user/password information). If no spots are located/connected, the application uses its default connection via GPRS network provider. Successful connection to either of these connections gives him least-cost access to wireless internet services.

The are ABSOLUTELY NO Pure J2ME API to provide this functionality. So, I would like to use RadioInfo , WLanInfo classes etc. inside
a MIDlet .. (kinda of work arround) .. at least ...

Is there some sample demo application provided or "Working with Wi-Fi connections on a BlackBerry device" is only the source to start from ?
