Hi guys, I'm wondering if anybody else has seen this problem. I have a Curve 8320, and sometimes when I'm on an UMA phone call, my D-Link router will suddenly freeze up and won't recover until I unplug it. I have no UMA problem otherwise and the calls are very clear. Is it time to retire the router? (it's about 4 yrs old but updated to the latest firmware)

Also, how much upload bandwidth does an UMA call use? I'm thinking that may be what tripped up the router since regular web browsing is heavy on the download and light on the upload. Just curious.

It certainly sounds like a router issue but before spending money on a new one check to be sure you have the latest firmware loaded onto the one you have now.

For bandwidth you're looking at 60-70Kbps per call is what I've seen quoted. I think the only way to be sure would be to check your bandwidth usage before a call and then the usage during a call.
