hi

just wanted to say hi, just got a blackberry, dont know why i have never had one in the past they are excellent..


i have a brand new 8320 originally locked to orange, i'm now using this on O2.

when i'm at home and want to connect to my home wifi connection, i go to turn on my wifi on my blackberry select my wireless connection and ban it turns off.

the blackberry wont turn back on until i turn the wireless connection off at the mains...

very strange... anyone else had this problem??

If I where you I would have gotten a warranty replacement phone, if that is out of the question I guess the first troubleshooting step to take is re-installation of the phone OS.

if i load a later OS will if affect the unlock of my blackberry??

my current OS is V4.2.2.171

No it should not affect it. If the phone is unlocked, then it is unlocked

But if you want to be 110% sure, you should have the unlock code at hand, (the one you used to unlock it)

you cannot relock the device once you unlock it. you can upgrade/downgrade/reinstall the same OS and it doesnt make a difference.
