Default **WI-FI Help in Canada** - 04-06-2008, 07:30 PM

Hello everyone,

I was going through the wi-fi section, but wasn't able to find anything pertaining to my issue. I have a unlocked Blackberry 8320 - T-Mobile(Awesome phone) that I bought a few weeks ago. Everything is working great with the phone, but it seems like the wi-fi doesn't work. I have a telus siemans modem at home and trying to connect to it. The very first day I used it, the wi-fi was working fine until several hours it stopped working. When browsing for networks it finds my network, however not able to connect to it. I KEEP GETTING A W010: Wi-Fi connection failed. Any ideas? Thanks

Nick

what router are u using? there are some that don't work with blackberry and also some really old routers dont work with mobile devices. some good ones are the linksys wrt54g or wrt54gs. cheap, reliable and performs well.

check other locations other than your home. go out to some public wifi areas and see it if works there.

also try a battery pull on ur blackberry. sometimes that helps. maybe upgrade to the newest OS 4.2.2.184 if ure using an 8320. this OS works great and perhaps it might help with ur wifi issues. once u supply more info about what router u have and stuff im sure lots of member will try to help.

Reboot the phone, and reboot the router. And, yeah, if you can tell us about the router we can provide some better info for you.

I knew someone having this same issue a few days ago. Definately make sure you have the latest OS on you device, as when the other person upgraded, it fixed their issue.
