First Blackberry, Wifi Help -

Well I am new and this is my first Blackberry. I went to the store and picked up a BB Curve 8320 and I am already really attached to it. I wanted to know if people could suggest programs that every blackberry should have.
I am pretty big into tech so I like playing with new toys. I have tried to connect to my wireless through the wifi and cant get it working. I have a netgear 814v2 router and it isn't happy. I use mac filtering with WEP. I can see the ssid but I cant connect to it. I have tried lowering the channel and connecting without any protection. The curve connected without any protection but when I put the protection back on my network it didn't connect anymore. Any help would be appreciated.
