Default WiFi disappear from manage connection - 07-15-2008, 01:47 AM

I have a new 8020 provided by my company with working wifi, then after 2 days I noticed that the wifi feature disappeared not even available through manage connection icon. I called AT&T and they wiped the device and installed the OS and I got my wifi back. A day later same thing happen, wifi gone. I did the wipe myself and got the wifi back.
The question is: can my IT force the wifi to be disabled from their end?
