Default Connected to network, but no UMA? - 08-02-2008, 04:48 PM

I've got an 8320 and randomly have this problem. My status will show as I am connected to my home network, with a good signal, yet no UMA. I've tried to 'scan for network' again and refresh it and also remove the battery. Still same thing, my curve is connecting to my network yet the UMA isn't on. It still says edge. This is a big deal to me since i have crappy reception in my home when i'm only on EDGE.

Any advice is appreciated.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000 4.6.0.67)

I am assuming you get UMA at home at other times just not all the time? Try changing the channel on your router, also make sure to try turning bluetooth off/on after UMA connects.

Find out why you are not getting UMA:

Go to Manager Connection > Wi-Fi Options > press the Menu key and select Wi-Fi Diagnostics > scroll down to the UMA section and see if there are any Wxxx.x error codes.

Then check the FAQ with the particular error code you are getting for some help in what you need to do to fix it.
