Hi all, I have a BB BOLD. Everytime I try to browse the net using WIFI , it connects through GPRS or 3G and uses my service provider which ofcourse costs more than the free wifi i have at home and work. I tried what was suggested by snoopy0011(Options xxx8594; Mobile Network xxx8594; Connection Preference; change it to Wi-Fi Prefered), but no such PREFERENCE is offered. I would appreciate help. What your first question seemed to be about is UMA voice calling over Wi-Fi, and how to get the Blackberry to use Wi-Fi over your wireless carrier. Other that using Wi-Fi these two are really different topics as far as configuring the Blackberry and provisioning by the service provider. So it is easier if we deal with one topic at a time, or one user at a time, not many users asking many different questions in a thread. It just gets too confusing.

UMA is not my forte, but there are experts on just about every aspect of the Blackberry lurking here. So be patient, lets take your issues one at a time in the order you prefer and we should get them sorted, or at least find out what you need to get the performance you want.
