Wifi in campus with domain
I am new to blackberry and i got a 8900 with me last week.
Obviously no quite enjoying it, coz i m not able to get the 8900 on wifi.
I am not an expert in computers, but I would try to explain wt the wifi system is like in the campus. When using my laptop, i choose the network and then type my username with the domain - "pedago\yuenc" and password.
pedago - being the domain name,
yuenc - being my user name
I took bb to the IT dpt and the guy didnt know how to solve it and said there wasn't a place for the domain name.
The setting in the profile is like:
Security Type: PEAP
User Name: yuenc
User Password: xxxxxxxx
CA certificate <none selected>
Inner link security: EAP-MS-CHAP v2
Toekn <None selected>
I tried the setting without putting the domain name - pedago. It didnt work.
So I was wondering where can I put the domain name or there are other solutions to this problem?
The staff in the IT dpt said that the "security type" and "Inner link security" are corect and there are no CA certificate in the network. But he seems to be unsure about the token and the server stuff and of coz me neither.
Does anyone have a clue on this whole issue?
Your help is really much appreciated. thanks
Gilbert, if you go to your Manage Connection > WiFi setup, and scan for WiFi networks, do you find the campus network?
You it can scan the network itself.
Can anyone please help? thanks
If it's a Windows domain, you should also be able to specify the domain by using the syntax username@domain. So you could try yuenc@pedago.
