Default Blacberry WIFI/UMA problem - 05-08-2009, 11:32 AM

hi,

I've had a blackberry pearl for around 6 months now with a bis data plan, and using the wifi at home but i turned the uma off as the call quality was awful(Green tick and wifi logo lit up while at home). From about a week ago the wifi wouldnt light up (the wifi logo was greyed out and the little circle was orange with a line). I've rung orange and they've said theres nothing wrong and the uma has to be turned on to use the wifi which is wrong as ive been using it without for the past 6 months. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Suggestion: turn on UMA. Most likely, it won't make WiFi work, but you'll have what to tell to Orange.

Sorry for the late reply, been away on hols.

I've turned the wifi on and its uses the wifi then, and uma (which is awful), On the test screen it says everything is working fine the ip address is there and everything. It's just it worked for so long then didnt work.

Thanks
MM
