Default UMA International - Will the person I call be charged? - 06-13-2009, 10:11 AM

I was wondering if I made a call from China to the US, would the person I call (who resides in the USA) be charged for an international call? I live in the USA and have a Tmobile plan that works in the US, but I traveled to China for vacation. I just discovered UMA and did some research and found that if I made any calls back home, it would count as domestic (so thats good for me). But now I need to know if my girlfriend will be charged because I'm calling her from here.
Also, if people call me while I'm on UMA, will either of us be charged for an international call as well? Or is it counted as a domestic for both of us no matter who calls who? Thanks!

EDIT:
Also, how does text messaging work through UMA? Is it still part of my unlimited plan even though I'm in Asia? Or am I still charged the 20 cents per message?

Wirelessly posted (MY 8900)

Text messages should be included in ur plan if u are from UMA. As for the calling, I couldn't tell u, but I am interested in this as well

When you are on UMA, anywhere in the world, it's as if you were standing in your town in the US - whatever you are charged by T-Mo there.

Thanks,
