Default DNS name - 06-30-2009, 06:15 AM

Hy people,
when i connect my 8900 curve with a WLAN, it registers itself with a DNS name like "blackberry-bb06". Does anybody know, how to change this DNS name of the blackberry?
I can't find any option that handles this behaviour.

I don't believe you change change the device name. If shows "BLACKBERRY-XXXX" where XXXX is the last four characters of the hardcoded device PIN.

There may be an option in your router to configure DHCP and set the name that way.
