Default Are ALLL 8320s WiFi "enabled"?

I just bought a used AT&T branded 8320 and the eBay description says "Wifi Capable". If I unlock the phone and install the latest OS will UMA work? I have TMO service.

No. UMA is only available on T-Mobile with a T-Mobile branded device.
