help with wi-fi/ removing email accounts

Hello, I live in UK, I have an 8520 with a data plan which is currently barred. I am trying to remove my email accounts from my handset as I no longer use them but need to connect to wi-fi in order to do so. I have wifi at home but although it connects to the router it doesn't connect to the internet

Can anybody help me with this please?

If the device is somehow "barred" then the service books have probably been disabled and/or the BB dataplan deactivated. Hence, not WiFi.
