Default No H@H but WiFi calling? - 10-02-2007, 10:02 PM

Just tried it,

disabled my TMO network and connected to my Netgear WGT624v3 - I can call any number I want.

The question is - how is TMO figuring if that was a data call (which is free with my plan), or a voice call (which is not free).

And secondly - why do you need a H@H plan, when you can call WIFI regardless...?

Sorry, if this was answered, I didn't really know what to search for.

If you have H@H then minutes used on UMA are not charged against your minute plan. If you don't have H@H then the minutes are deducted from your minute plan. Either way you can make calls using UMA.

I also want to add that if you have H@H, you can use the T-mobile's HotSpots at Starbucks and few other locations that has it and use voice and data.

But if you don't have it, than the only thing you can use is voice.

Sorry Blackberry fans but..I will be first in line for the HTC Dream with Android OS by Google. Pre-order 9-17 Release on 10-13. (DATES CONFIRMED)
