Default Exchange (Outlook?) changing font on mail

Please Login to Remove!

I have a weird issue on my own email account that happens when I mail one person. As we are emailing back and forth, when I send a message from Outlook (through Exchange) using Calibri 11pt blue font on a reply, it will be converted to Times New Roman black font. This sucks because it doesn't preserve my color or font settings. It also doesn't preserve bold or italic settings.

On the other hand, if I reply from my BlackBerry (4.6.0.214) through my BES (4.1.6), it will preserve the fonts in the messages and the text will come through as blue, the way replies are set by default in Exchange/Outlook. Does anyone know what may cause this? It is only emails to this one person that seem to be affected. The domain is nmac.com if that matters. I can post headers or any info that may help, or maybe there's a setting somewhere I'm not aware of on my BES.

TIA,
Nick

Sounds like a pure outlook issue to me. But as I am often wrong.....does the issue follow you to another copy of outlook on a different machine?

Huh that's strange. I think it is the same on both copies of Outlook 2007 I have on my office computer and my home laptop. My home laptop connects to Exchange via HTTP and I believe it's the same.

Just to see, I logged into a machine with Outlook 2003. I looked in my outbox and the font was correct, just the way I had written it (Calibri blue font). When I look in the outbox on my machine, it is converted to the Times New Roman black font.

Does anyone know why Outlook 2007 or Exchange may be doing this? It's really annoying since I can't use bold, italics, or any of that stuff.

I am pretty sure this isn't Exchange but I don't know Outlook 2007 so can't be of much more use I'm afraid, sorry.

It doesn't seem to be any of the font settings because the font I am typing in is not the same one that it uses when the email is sent. It's almost like it converts to plain text (but it's not plain text). This is strange.

Not Strange, it's a "feature". Thanks Microsoft. Have you tried changing the mail format from HTML to RIch Text. Is there an option to NOT use Word for editing mail (as in Outlook 2003).

I have tried to change from HTML to Rich and it didn't change. I don't think there's an option to NOT use word as in 2003. The funny thing is 2003 doesn't do this.
