Some have English text on the face-plate for what button does what like "MUTE" etc. and some only have the Icon and are referred to as the Global Icon version. This phone needs a compatible Avaya phone system to connect to. This is a VoIP phone or a network phone. That means it can be located onsite via your network or at an offsite location connected via your network and the internet for work from home/telecommuter workers. see more below.

The phones have been defaulted and on my IP Office 500V2 7.0(36) processor by first pressing the * to program or the mute button first then using the code craft# (27238#) and selecting clear.
It will be cleaned and tested and will come with the stand (there are 2 types of stands) and a NEW curly cord. These phones are used. These phones all look great but as they are used I always list that Some fading may exist on the phone buttons and some wear (see pictures). The Stands may also show minimal to extreme fading also. No Ethernet cables or Power Supplies are included. It will come with a 30 day warranty.

The lowest costway to get both VCM Channels and IP Endpoints on IP Office 500 release 6.0 –9.1 is to buy an IP Office 500 VCM 32 Version 1 base card 700417389 that comeswith 32 VCM channels and 12 virtual IP Endpoints (Version 2 IP Office VCM 32base cards 700504031 do not come with IP Endpoints so be careful!). Thereis a limit of 2 VCM base cards per IP Office 500 Processor.
For Avaya IPOffice 500 processors release 6.0 – 9.0 there are also base cards that are notVCM base cards that provide VCM Channels and Virtual IP Endpoints.

How do Avayacompatible VoIP phones get power?
Avaya VoIPPhones will to connect to a Switch (not included in this listing) withindividual power supplies (not included in this listing) or the Avayacompatible VoIP Phones will need to connect to a Power over Ethernet (POE)Switch (not included in this listing). The switch or PoE switch will thenconnect to the Avaya IP Office 500 Processor via the LAN or WAN ports that arelocated in the back of the Avaya IP Office 500 Processor.

The Partner ACS system starts with a capacity of up to 3 analog phonelines and up to 8 Partner phones and is comfortably expandable up to 12 analogphone lines and up to 32 Partner phones with mailboxes for all users. ThePartner system’s maximum capacities are up to 31 lines and up to 48 extensions(can’t be obtained simultaneously).
Both Phone Systems need wiring from thephone company (for your analog Phone Lines) to the phone system and each phoneneeds a dedicated wire run from the phone system to the desired location foreach non VoIP phone.
