This pump is USED and has not been turned on for many years. It played an instrumental role an XMM experiment from NASA and Columbia University back in the early 2000\'s. Since then, though, it has not been turned on, so you are buying this item AS IS. It may work great from the start, or it may need one part replaced and then work great thereafter. It\'s unknown. We\'re selling it because the P.I. has a new project going up in the same space and trying to make room. He wanted to through it away but i called him crazy because I believe someone, somewhere, has a space for this little baby to call home.I\'ll visit the lab this week and try turning it on and pumping down a chamber.
