The MTL5511 is a 1-channel switch/proximityDetector Interface with line fault detection. The MTLx511 enables a safe-areaload to be controlled by a switch or proximity detector located in ahazardous-area. When selected, open or short circuit conditions in the fieldwiring are detected by the line fault-detect (LFD) facility and also indicatedon the top of the module. Phase reversal for the channel is selected by aswitch on the side of the module and output is provided by changeover relaycontacts. The Digital Input (DI) module range offers solid state or relayoutput switches in a safe area that respond to input switches located in ahazardous area. Single or multiple channel (2 or 4) options are available, aswell as Line-Fault Detection (LFD)
