This is not a review of the mini lathe in general (You can read all about them on the web.) but about this version in particular. I chose this mini lathe because of the great price and because it has a 14" bed and 4" chuck. It arrived in a nice wood crate and had no shipping damage. This lathe is made by Real Bull (doesn't translate well) rather than the more common Sieg model. It has some small features that are nicer like bed wipers and oil ports but the bigger chuck and longer bed are major upgrades. Like all mini lathes it needed set up and adjustment but that is easy - takes about an hour.
