No need to even search anywhere right now.

What will time tell? That .224 even exists or that WorldIRC is actually running it? If the latter, how would you know what he was using?

jibi 01-01-2009 06:54 PM

He certainly has the mythical version listed on his profile. I really hope RIM skips the .224 build when they get to that point.

;-)

Pretty funny...

shawntdot 01-02-2009 12:28 AM

WorldIrc, your such an I.Fido.

WorldIRC 01-02-2009 01:09 AM

Far from it!

mark.baker 01-02-2009 09:19 AM

What are you trying to prove, WorldIRC? Quit being so lame. Please.

Why is he being so lame if I may ask?

WorldIRC 01-02-2009 09:10 PM

Wirelessly posted

I don't understand what I did wrong...I responded to shawntdot about being like ifido and that's it!

Jadey 01-02-2009 09:14 PM

Nobody has done anything wrong. Before it starts up in earnest, may I remind all users that we are not here to call each other names.

Be nice, or be banned.

jibi 01-03-2009 01:23 AM

Perhaps I'm reading it wrong, but I believe mark's response about WorldIRC being lame was directed as his OS version in the profile rather than him making a response that he wasn't similar to HoFo's i.Fido. Purposefully changing your profile to reflect the installation of an OS that is not even in existence is rather lame.

Jadey 01-03-2009 01:32 AM

I never said anyone had been out of line, just a pre-emptive reminder (to all) in case anything started in earnest.

Have you checked out the new profile. Lol.

mark.baker 01-03-2009 09:58 AM

jibi, that is exactly what I was referring to--thanks for clearing that up for me. I rarely call someone names (especially on a forum) unless there is due cause. I was simply referring to his (WorldIRC's) profile changes.

What is frustrating, at least for me, is that a lot of people look upon this forum in very high regard. Yet, the respect for this forum is built on the idea that the information people find here is substantiated. When you have someone(s) running around making what appear to be false claims, it really takes away from the greatness of this forum. I realize I don't know anyone here in person, so I can't make a judgment call based on someone's true character. But, there is something to say for respecting others even in an online community.

There is a time and a place for a joke. Granted, if there is some joking going on, it might have been funny for some time. But I (and I imagine many others) would appreciate if someone would "set the story straight" before more people start posting unsubstantiated information all over the place. Thanks for reading my rant.
