Fake Message From Blackberry?

I received an email a short time ago, supposedly from blackberry stating that email going to my main account was not being delivered, and that I should reset my password (mail coming from my Gmail acct) through either my set up app in the phone or through a pc by connecting to my BIS server. The message is labeled do not reply, and I cannot see the actual sender address.
This is the first time I've had my phone on this morning, and actually turned off the radio for the night so that I could use the media player without being disturbed with calls or incoming messages. I also would normally have a bunch of messages waiting for me this time of day.
Could this be a phishing attempt to get my password, or is this type of thing common? I have not seen this kind of message before.

Those are authentic messages. If you're not sure, just be certain that you are logging in to your true BIS account.

Yes, avoid links and enter the web address for your BIS account manually.

our spam filter has blocked a bunch of phishing attempts on our users accounts.

dont trust links in an email, do as raptor suggested and manually go to your BIS account.

Ooh! I've been upgraded!! I went from rambo to raptor. Good trade for me. Not so sure about how raptor made out though.

This message the OP received was no phishing attempt, it's a valid email from RIM.

I couldn't resist! No worries, as insulting me really takes some effort. I just enjoyed the opportunity to be a smartass. Raptor, however, might deserve an apology.

Thanks all. Gotta be careful nowadays.

update: Found out that Google had disabled my account because of suspicious activity, and I had to put in a new password. Everything has been activated again, including about 50 or so emails I am just getting.
Again, thanks for your help.

This user has just been agreeing with many posts to post a link about the Playbook.

Playbooks must be hard to read for a pirate duck with only 1 good eye (ROTFLMAO).

You might want to check your primary email. Mine had been phished, but google suspended it because of the unusual activity.
All I had to do was reset a new password, and I was good to go.

Good Luck.
