filing to folders - search speed

Have a bit of unique setup - user with 4000+ outlook folders. Activesync to exchange server.

They don't need to be synced but does need to be able to file to them. On the 9900 it's fairly fast to enter part of a folder name, select a result and file. On the 20Q, it takes 10-20 secs for it to return with a list of folders.

Anyone seen similar behavior? Trying to move away from bes/9900 but this makes it a non-starter. thx in advance--

4000 folders is a bit much with active sync on any device

have the user make some sub folders to reduce them in some logical order

I know it's a lot of folders, but once cached it's totally reasonable to think it would be faster. They aren't actively syncing. I can go into airplane mode and have same issue. We have him running on 9900/bes and it's usable/significantly faster.

It's 30 seconds to pull up folders and it's sluggish typing in the name - just a completely frustrating experience.
