Issues with Opera Mini

I have a blackberry 8520 and I had downloaded Opera Mini 7.1 a few weeks before.
It worked fine all day long but since today morning,
When I open the app.
The bar loads and when the loading finishes, instead of the app opening, the app automatically exits.
I tried deleting and re-installing but to no use :(

It's time for a new phone.

I've browsed the forums and 90% software problems have a solution rather than a new phone.
So how come this one requires a new phone?
I didn't expect this answer.

Re: Issues with Opera Mini

That's my suggestion for anyone that encounters an issue on a 8500 series device. Those devices were arguably the worst ones BlackBerry ever made. It sounds like your device is low on memory, and there are things you can do for that, but you really should get a newer device with more processing power and memory.

Re: Issues with Opera Mini

If considering memory of device memory, I've consumed only 11% memory.
And if considering SDCard, I've consumed 20% memory.
And if Applications, I still have 50+ MB left with me..
So I kinda guess there's no problem with memory.
But as per you said that 8500 series is the worst of all, that's not true. I have been using this phone since nearly 2 years but there's no problem with it (rather than my both volume up & down buttons broke)
But the problem is fixed now, I deleted it & re-installed a little lower version, then deleted and installed the latest version and its now working fine :)
Thanks for your help!

I agree these are not the "fastest" phones but they are able to run opera mini with no problems. Try a handset wipe mate?
