annoying fast dialing tones when using speed dial numbers on Curve
Hi,
Does anybody know of a way (other than using the Quiet or Vibrate profile) to silence the annoying tones that you hear when using your speed dial numbers???? I want to keep my Quiet and Vibrate profiles the way they are and just modify my Normal profile. |
They can't be silenced. Sorry!

I don't know HOW, but I don't get them. People whine about them, and there is no way to silence them, but I check my phone the other day in every mode (normal, vibrate, silent , loud,) and if I use speed dial from the home screen, I can't any tones. I have to hold the phone to my ear to make sure it ringing.

I like the tones, actually. When I had my Pearl, speed diall was a bit iffy and I could never tell if my call was going through when I would use the speed dial.
If I really need the tones silenced, I just set the profile to QUIET. Takes 2 seconds to switch. |

Both the Quiet profile and the Vibrate profile will silence the tones on the 8320

I like it alot. Plus it lets me know its actually dialing.

I hate to admit it but that is one of my favorite features. (y)

Get Pocketday. It allows assignment of speed dials to all keys, and no tones with dialing.....Also allows one key mapping of most apps. Short press for app, half second hold for speed dial...quietly.
