RIM epic fail :(
My office ordered 16 new Playbook's 15 of them were 64GB, 1 of them 16GB.
Out of 15 of the 64GB PB's 7 started up going to the desktop by passing the setting, and the green light was solid. After a security and factory reset only two icons showed up on the desktop. I can see why RIM is losing money now. :) A. |

So what happened? That is the end of the story?

Re: RIM epic fail :(
I would say they were not new or someone played with them before you got them.
Let us know what you finally did. |

Re: RIM epic fail :(
The PlayBooks were new. Which Technical Data are you referring to?

Re: RIM epic fail :(
Oh yeah, I remember reading a story about some partnership in the US. TD, Brightstar, and RIM. Makes sense, I guess if a limited number of suppliers are supplying everyone(US), you are bound to get some bad batches and low quality manufacturing. Makes even more sense when you have some people who bought their first defective PB, returned it at the same PoP, and picked up another one.

Re: RIM epic fail :(
It sounds like a lof of them were just refurbs disguised as new units...

Re: RIM epic fail :(
happy ending?

The new ones worked fine. |
Re: RIM epic fail :(
So it's not RIM's fault then.

Re: RIM epic fail :(
even if not RIM fault, people will still blame them
3rd party retailers can sell you a week old or a 9 month old item and still call both new. |
