Curve powering off-on-off-on with wifi connect
I have beenhaving this issue for a month. WHen i connect to wifi my ohone powers off, then on (just long enough to get to the home screen then powers back off before i can turn the wifi off on the phone.
the ONLY way i can get it to completely power on and stay on is to go unplug my router and then let my BB power on and disable my wifi connection. I called tmobile today and they had me wipe my phone 2x and then reinstall 4.2 It STILL doesnt work!! What do I do. They told me I cant get a replacement because i bought it from someone who no longer has a tmobile account (New policy???) HELP!! |
Some routers do not interact well with the Curve. Fios' Actiontec router for one. Some N routers, some Belkins, and others.
Also, the Tmobile stock version of 4.2 was not the greatest. I think it is 4.2.2.180. 4.2.2.184 was pretty good for UMA. 4.5 seems even better for most users. Edit: Here's another user who fixed his problem with .184. http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...g-problem.html |
Where do I find 4.5??
and ur right!!! we have a belkin N - just got it right before this happened like maybe 2 weeks before!!! |
Not having luck finding the OS - jsut the desktop mgr. btw I have an 8320
|
Here's 4.5. Latest released version is always at the top of the 8300 forum. It might not fix the router problem though.

Not as bad as dunking it completely, but you don't want the water corroding anything or shorting anything. |
