Urgent Help!!!

hi everyone who is reading this - this is my first ever blackberry post, and it would very much appreciated for your help.

I'm living in the UK and looking at getting a smart phone - the ones that stand out to me are the blackberry line. Now - I dunno whether to go for the new Bold one - or go for the new black version of Curve.

I'm only 17, but i do a lot of organizing and i hopefully am going to get a position of planning events at my current sixth form college - and i would appreciate some true blackberry fan's opinions!.

thanks everyone!

Not much of a choice to make here. If you have the money get the Bold, if not get the Black Curve.

It all breaks down to your budget as there is no question about which is most desired as the Bold will win hands down!

Hi

Obviously you're thinking Orange, as only they have the emerald black curve (gorgeous).

Go to the Orange shop and try them both out, that's probably the best thing to do.

Orange's £2.50 deal for BlackBerry Internet Service may finish at the end of this month so now may be a good time to buy.

They could extend the offer but we can't be sure of that.

If you have the Pounds go for the bold. Its the best Blackberry released to date.

ok another thing - i have a few questions i would love to see if anyone can answer them!

1. what comes in the UK orange blackberry bold box? (just wanna know if theres a pouch so i dont have to buy one).
2. can i use msn messenger on my blackberry? and if i so - can i use the wifi setting to connect to messenger?.
3. can i set mp3 songs as ringtones and sms tones?

thats it i think - thanks everyone for posting so far!!

1. According to Orange the Bold comes with a battery, charger, SIM card (for new activations only), User's Guide, CD-ROM, and strap.

2. You can use MSN Messenger with a BB. There is a client you can download from Blackberry.com and there are also third-party apps. BeeJive is the most popular, but it's not free.

3. Yes, MP3's are supported for ringtones/sms alerts/calendar alerts. Just be sure not to use a copy-protected file.

If you have the dough....go for the Bold, for sure. But seriously... how is this question really "Urgent"....?

1 - Mine came with a leather pouch
2 - No, it doesn't work (on Orange anyway, may be different for other carriers)
3 - Yes

Surely being 17 you can not get a phone on contract. Blackberrys from orange are only available on contract.

Im 18 tomorrow.

Hi Jack, happy birthday for tomorrow.

Orange Bold's do come with a pouch. I dont think MSN is available, however yahoo Messenger is pre installed. Can use mp3's.

Wow, happy 18th, I sincerely hope you're not going to be on Blackberry Forums tomorrow night!!!

Fifty quid says you send it back within 7 days and exchange it for a bold!
