No voice mail icon/notification
 

We got an extra Storm at my company from Verizon so I am trying it out. Only had it for a few days. For some reason I am not getting the standard voice mail notification when I have voice mails. Instead I am getting a text message from Verizon that reads,

Free Message from Verizon Wireless. Log into the Visual Voice Mail application on your phone or dial *86 to retrieve voicemail. (msg# 1001).

I did have the Visual Voice Mail program installed initially but I deleted it. Also the text messages don't always arrive soon after getting a voice mail. Sometimes it's an hour later. And last night I received a voice mail around 6:00 PM and I got 8 text messages from Verizon subsequent to receiving the voice mail. Anyone had this issue?

Give Verizon a call. Although you have deleted the app, they may still have it provisioned on the network for you.
