I've got it installed and running.
I can't seem to get BBM working. I see in the applications list it's installed however there's no icon for it anywhere. I'm running BBM5. Anybody else running into this problem? |
I'm also having the same problem with BBM. Tried reinstalling still nothing.
|
is facebook working in 5.0 yet?
|
I can't even get BBM 4.7 to work. Going to wipe the device and start from scratch again.
|
I got it. BBM 5.0 doesn't work, and not enough power to charge the phone in the cradle with the phone power on. Have to shut it off or plug directly into the side of the phone.
|
BBM5 will not work with this build, as it uses a 5.2 platform. No leaked builds of BBM5 will work on anything above a 5.1 platform.
And why is it that so many people just don't understand that Facebook isn't going to magically start working on a new 5.x build, the Facebook app has to be updated. RIM isn't building their OS around insignificant 3rd party apps such as Facebook, it's up to the app developers to make their app compatible with the OS. Since the OS is not supposed to be publicly available, there's no need for them to update it yet. I'm sure the update will be available when OS 5 is officially available. |
I believe that RIM wrote the Facebook app for the BlackBerry...
Insignificant or not... |
Yep... RIM wrote the Facebook app, the brand-specific IM apps, and several other apps. It's funny though that NoahFecks almost made a good point.
