email icon stuck on 'headline' bar on screen
 

I can't get rid of the 'whatsapp' and email icon from the headline bar (between the volume and search functions) on the blackberry screen. Any ideas?

Things to try....

Highlight the date bar in the email app and then select mark all read from menu.

Check saved messages.

Do a hard reset (remove battery while power is on, wait 30 seconds).
