Hi, how do I delte and remove (applicaiont) icons from the home screen of my 8700?

The "search" button at the top of evey page can yield TONS of information - including the answer to this very frequently asked question.

To hide (you can't delete) or move icons, scroll to the icon, press the ALT key (lower left hand corner) and click the wheel. You'll get a menu allowing you to hide or move an icon.

To delete applications, go into the Options menu, then Advanced and Applications. Scroll to the one you want to delete, click the wheel and select Delete.
