Internet service gone?
 

Hi i recentely got a sim only pay montly deal on vodafone which included the blackberry services. I recieved sim and all was working well including bbm ect.
Then the next day bbm and facebook app wernt working. I decided to update blackberry and now they still dont work. Its like blackberry services has been deactivated or something?

I don't know how they work it, but if you used up your data allotment for the month they might shut your data services down. Is there an online account area for pre-paid at Vodafone?

Try resending the service books followed by a battery pull.

I've only had contract 2 days so i havn't used up all data.

And resending books i dont know what that means but so far ive took out battery for 1 minute then put it back in then i went on host routing table and registered. I got an message saying your handheld has been registered with the wireless network but still doesnt work :(

You need to log into the Vodafone BIS page and re-enter your PIN and IMEI. If you choose "Help" on the BIS portal page you should see a button to Resend Service Books.

Problem is rambo is that when i do that it says his

BlackBerry® device is not registered with your wireless service provider.
Please register this device and verify that the URL of the current web site matches the
one provided by your wireless service provider.

To register:

1. In the Application list on your device, click Options, or click Settings Options.

2. Click Advanced Options > Host Routing Table.

3. Click the Menu key and click Register Now.

If the error persists, contact your wireless service provider.

btw could the problem be that i recently transfered my old number onto my new sim card?

Sounds like the BB data plan has not been activated. As mentioned earlier, looks like you have to call the carrier.

Sometimes carriers screw the pooch on their end. They update/modify your account either during a maintenance period internally or they just change the wrong account when somebody else called in for service.

They'll walk you through the process of restoring your BlackBerry, but the whole time they'll be typing furiously on their end. Do a backup of all your data and then give Vodafone a call.

I had the exact same problem, they put me on a blackberry service plan then changed me back to the standard orange internet plan after a month, ring them up and they'll happily switch you back to your blackberry service plan !

An for more cost i'm sure. Not all Reps tell new customers all Blackberrys require a Blackberry Data plan to fully function with all features.
