Storm not turning on after battery dies.
 

So I depleted my battery last night to 5% and when it shut off the radio, i turned the phone off. I plugged it into my computer charger to let it charge and I woke up this morning to a storm that is ur-responsive to anything. It won't turn on, it won't charge, it won't do anything even when i do a battery pull. The only thing that happens is that when i plug it in w/o a battery in it, i get a solid red light from the led, then i put the battery back into the device and the red light stays on. when this happened, i figured that it was charging so i left it there for a few hours. When i returned, there was no light or anything on the storm. It is still un-responsive to anything. Any ideas of how to fix it or is my phone dead.

ps- this phone i received through phone insurance about 2 weeks ago and i haven't had a problem until now.

Try leaving the battery out for about 2 hours and then put it back in and see what happens.

I would use a home A/C charger. Maybe your USB power is to low? If you don't have a home charger reboot your PC and see if that helps.

+1 for using the home charger. it will revive the fone. mine croaked on me last nite (the GPS Tracker app can drain the battery when the fone is indoors)....this morning it would not power up unless i plugged it into the bb charger.

using a pc doesn't give enough juice to revive portable devices when the battery is completely dead....

Not true. PCS can indeed revive a dead device. Or I should say "some" :-;

There is a fix for Vista which can change the power a USB offers. Google will help.

I dont know about XP, but I do know my Debian system can bring my phone baclk from completely drained.

But a USB charge will take much longer than an AC wall charger. Wall charger also has no chance of being below standards like a USB. Wall charger will either work or not (if defective).

Plug it in to the wall.

plug it into a wall charger the PC will take twice as long to charge the battery and if your battery is 100% empty then it might take up to an hr for it charge and turn on
