How to Save Text Messages to Computer
 

I've had nothing but trouble with my BB Bold. The fact that I hate it aside, they tell me they have to do some sort of total reprogramming to "fix" it. And I will lose all of my txt messages. Someone said they thought there was a way to save those txt messages to my computer (Windows XP). Can anyone walk an idiot through the process please. The txts are from my fiance who left for Afghanistan yesterday and I really don't want to lose them.

I haven't used it, but seems like this is what you are looking for.

forward the important ones to email

if you have desktop manager installed you can backup the device.
this will create a file which you can restore to the device once fixed, with all settings, messages etc restored.

Use the Desktop Manager to perform a backup. Then download and install ABC Amber Converter. Enjoy!

Desktop manager... Plug it in and back up everything.

I think part of the reason you might hate your BB is that you don't really know how to use it.

Just forward them to an email or go into the backup section of your desktop manager... go to advanced and pick SMS and it will save them on your computer until you want to throw them back on your BB.

Must poeple who dislike BB, do not give it the tiome of day to learn it.
